On todays National Talkblack via NIRS – NIRS – National Indigenous Radio Service we had:

Alan Walker – Administrator from Cor Cordis yarning to us about the only national body representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples has agreed to work closely with the Federal Government to secure its future. The Congress called in the administrators, faced with ceasing operations on 30 June this year due to lack of funds when its existing funding agreement expires.

Arnol Murray – Mayor of Cherboug – Catching up with Trevor what’s happening down that way.

Ellen Karimanovic Masters of Research student in Girra Maa (Indigenous Health Discipline), Graduate School of Health – UTS. Yarning about social influences on young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders people’s social and emotional wellbeing are utilising a community roundtable discussion to 
promote positive mental health for our young people. The design of this project is inclusive of Elders, community leaders and young people themselves to gain intergenerational standpoints and understandings.
